The computing domain wasdecomposed into an interior domain of vortex blobs and a thin numerical boundarylayer of vortex sheets. The core radii of shedding blobs were related to the size of thevortex sheets. As the result of numerical experiments on the flow over a ship propeller,the hybrid vortex method was found to be acceptable for simulations of unsteadyseparated flows around a solid body at high Reynolds number, since the computedresults showed reasonable agreement with the measured
