| 内容記述 | There is a growing interest in using small satellites for data collection systems that rely on Store and Forward (S&F) technology. As technology advances, it is important to take advantage of space-based technologies for educational purposes and to enhance research output through data acquisition. Unfortunately, many colleges under the Royal University of Bhutan struggle with limited funding and infrastructure, which hinders their research output. To address this issue, this paper presents the design and development of a Hybrid Ground Sensor Terminal (H-GST) with a LoRa transmitter and Wi-Fi module. Unlike previous research that relied solely on transmitting remote sensor data to satellites, the H-GST uses a combination of LoRa and Wi-Fi to transmit data to the satellite and the ThingSpeak IoT Platform, respectively. The goal is to create a simple and affordable system using Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) components. The paper examines the system's functionality, development cost, and power budget to determine its feasibility. | |||||||||||
