 note = {The purpose of this paper is to examine the municipal guidance and permission system for private monuments from the viewpoint of landscape management. A questionnaire survey was conducted over the municipalities in charge of landscape policies. This paper, firstly, surveyed permission cases of monuments nationwide. Then, the permission processes were analyzed. The paper clarified 1) the number of the private monuments processed according to landscape ordinaries were only 12 among 298, in 2009, 2) Among 12 cases, only 7 cases employed landscape specialists in the permission process, 3) there were 4 cases that landscape department cooperated with other relevant departments in the process, 4) There is a possibility that municipal government, even if the municipality does not have the landscape ordinary, can guide monument design, through such as public art committee., 第45回日本都市計画学会学術論文発表会, 2010年11月13-14日, 名古屋大学全学教育棟, 愛知県, 日本},
