| 内容記述 | The purpose of this paper is to clarify structure and function on discourse over women’s work style in labor dispute before Child Care and Family Care Leave Law was established. I analyzed three cases. As a result, I revealed the following points. (1)Meritocracy was one of the most important discourses to achieve equality in employment. (2)But meritocracy discourse was used by companies to exclude specific attributes, because of flexibility of meritocracy discourse. (3)In addition, rules to protect maternity functioned to exclude pregnant women and mothers in child care, because companies recognized that they ware inefficient. Thus, meritocracy discourse can function as both tool to achieve equality in employment and tool to exclude specific attribute. | |||||
