A laboratory test campaign was conducted to study how the mechanical stresses distribute within a satellite body so as to define the unit QT level. We carried out random vibration tests using two types 50cm/50kg class satellites and measured the distribution of acceleration inside the satellites. The research focuses on the provision of the physical basis of the test conditions to be defined in the new standard. We tried to identify the range of natural frequency and amplification of acceleration in various launching environment through statistical analysis of the test results.
