| 内容記述 | This study reveals the characteristics of the information society, the factors that promotes informatization, and considers the changes that informatization has brought to society, as well as the future of humankind. At first, factors promoting informatization can be identified as ‘the development of computer technology’, ‘the development of network technology’, ‘their exponential development’, and ‘the progress of standardization’. The progress of informatization has brought great changes to society, leading to the creation of online-platform companies such as GAFAM, and they have significantly changed the existent industrial structure. Now, globalization is progressing on a global scale, and standardization is progressing. Along with that, various harmful effects have come to occur. On the other hand, it has been argued that exponential development causes not only social changes but also humankind changes. Ray Kurzweil says that the destination of exponential development is the “singularity”, which will come around 2045. He argued that AI would surpass humankind, after that point. So, of course, it is necessary to keep in eyes on whether the exponential development of technology will really change the future of humankind. | |||||
