| 内容記述 | The Department of Engineering at Kyushu Institute of Technology had all the first-year students in 2014 take the TOEFL ITP tests at the end of the first year and the third year. This study compares and analyzes these scores to show the progress students may make on English studies. The results showed the average total score increased by 14.88 points in two years, and, that the students with lower proficiency made greater progress than those with higher proficiency. The scores in Listening Comprehension section(LC) and Reading Comprehension section (RC) increased by 1.88 to 3.05, though Structure and Written Expression section (SW) showed no significant difference. The students who scored in the higher middle rage (425-474) had scores which decreased significantly and accounted for 30% of all students, so English teachers are expected to provide a targeted and innovative solution for this problem. | |||||
